Questions
What does the website audit check?
It reads one page and checks 25 things in four groups: search (title, meta description, H1, canonical address, indexing rules, structured data, image descriptions, link text), sharing (Open Graph and X tags), technical (HTTPS, status, redirects, response time, size, compression, mobile viewport, language, favicon, robots.txt, sitemap) and content (amount of text, headings, internal links).
How is the score worked out?
Each check is a pass, a warning or a fail. A pass counts fully, a warning counts half and a fail counts nothing. The score is the share of points earned, out of 100. Items marked as information are not scored.
Is it really free? Do I need to sign up?
It is free and needs no account. There is a small limit on how many checks you can run in a minute, so that the tool stays available for everyone.
Does it audit my whole site?
No, one page at a time: the address you enter. Audit your home page first, then your most important pages. It also looks at your robots.txt and sitemap.xml, which cover the whole site.
Why is my response time different from other speed tools?
We measure how long your server takes to send the page to our server, from one location. It does not measure how fast the page renders in a browser, or the images and scripts it loads. Use it as a quick signal and test with a full speed tool for the rest.
Does it run JavaScript?
No. It reads the HTML the server sends, like a simple crawler. If your text or tags only appear after JavaScript runs, the audit may report them as missing, and some search engines may not see them either.
Do you store the pages I audit?
No. We fetch the page, analyse it and send you the result. The page is not saved, and the result is not kept.
