About HOL Guard

HOL Guard is a free, open-source (Apache-2.0) runtime layer for AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex and Cursor. It watches tool use (shell commands, secret access, MCP calls and package installs) on your machine instead of trusting the model, and pauses anything risky for your approval before it runs. It is local-first: the core runs on your machine and needs no account. Guard Cloud is an optional paid add-on for teams that want shared policies and history. Install with: pipx install hol-guard && hol-guard init. Scan is not a safety guarantee. Maker: HOL.
