Hackyard

Week-long AI hackathons for solo builders. Build Monday to Friday with any AI model, then the builders vote the winner.

About Hackyard

Hackyard runs a Yard twice a month: a one-week online hackathon for solo builders. Claim one of 50 spots, check in before kickoff, then build Monday to Friday with whatever AI tools you like. Ship by Friday, and everyone votes all weekend. The champion is crowned Sunday at 6 PM ET. No judges, no teams, no pitch decks. The community picks the winner, one vote per person. Winners get the crown, a place in the Hall of Fame, collectible badges and first dibs on the next Yard. Sponsored Yards add cash prizes and a theme set by the sponsor. Yards run the 1st and 3rd week of every month, each with its own theme. Past Yards include One Screen (the whole app on a single screen) and Gamification (turn a chore into a game). Past champions range from a kids' no-code game builder to one-screen apps. I built Hackyard because big hackathons favor teams and polished pitches. Yards are small, fair and fast: one person, one week, one build.

Maker's first comment

Hey, I'm Hixon, the solo founder. Yard #4 (Gamification, presented by Ryware) is live right now, and Yard #5 kicks off Mon Oct 19. If you build with AI, come claim a spot. I'd love feedback on what would make you join (or not).
